The University of Utah is seeking to fill a position for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, track dependent on qualifications, in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. This position will work closely with 5 other pediatric physiatrists and collaborators in the Departments of Pediatrics, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, and others. This position will be located primarily at the Primary Children’s Hospital Campus in Salt Lake City, UT, and will be comprised largely of outpatient clinics and procedural opportunities, but may also include rotating on the inpatient rehabilitation service if desired. Opportunities for leadership, program development, and the potential for outreach clinics may also be negotiated if desired. Shared call coverage at the Primary Children’s main campus in Salt Lake City, UT will also be expected.

Excellent communication skills, ability to manage complex spasticity, and a broad base in pediatric rehabilitation are strongly encouraged. Fellowship training and board certification/eligibility in pediatric PM&R is strongly preferred. Significant interest in independent research goals and/or education and teaching are looked upon favorably. Salary is competitive and benefits are excellent.

Primary Children’s Hospital is a 287-bed, free-standing Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. Primary Children’s Hospital is the pediatric teaching hospital for the University of Utah School of Medicine.
