Edwards Lifesciences 2nd Shift Supervisor I, Manufacturing in Salt Lake City, Utah

2nd Shift Hours are: Monday to Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 2:15 a.m.

How you will make an impact:

  • Supervising employees and manufacturing activities pertaining to the production of products and/or manufacturing processes in - and with manufacturing/technical knowledge of - 1 or more production areas, depending on the complexity of the areas to ensure the specifications and procedures of the company, in addition to conducting performance reviews, including resolving performance issues.

  • Overseeing the scheduling of work orders and team performance metrics.

  • Ensuring staff is appropriately trained to perform assigned work.

  • Ensuring productivity and quality metrics of staff, and providing regular progress reports and manufacturing metrics to management and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Partnering with engineering on investigations and/or corrective actions, performing non-conformance investigations for review with engineering, assuring documentation content is valid, participating in improvement projects including designing, implementing and optimizing procedures and working methods.

  • Performing daily audit to ensure employees are in adherence to manufacturing procedures.

What you’ll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (e.g., industrial, chemical, electrical, mechanical) with substantial technical knowledge and experience in related manufacturing, quality and/or product development engineering Required

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Lean Six Sigma experience

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably JDE

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; possessing strong collaboration skills in partnering with cross functional stakeholders in order to achieve objectives

  • Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak Spanish

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
