We are currently seeking a Paint Supervisor for our Salisbury, NC facility.

Overview

The Paint Supervisor leads the Paint department, receiving in raw machined and fabricated parts and delivering finished, painted components. This position oversees a full paint system using both powder coat and wet paint.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance for a group of up to 25 people.

  • Ensure a safe working environment.

  • Support the control of nonconforming material process by implementing containment and dispositions.

  • Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.

  • Ensure production targets are communicated, personnel deployed, and daily progress reported on.

  • Monitor and report on employee absenteeism and performance.

  • Ensure adequate training is taking place to maintain well balanced, capable workforce.

  • Write and deliver employee performance reviews.

  • Ensure Autonomous Maintenance program is enforced.

  • Develop, participate, implement and enforce procedures.

  • Manage inventory of powder and other consumables

  • Monitor equipment performance.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge in quality control processes

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively function as a team player.

  • Ability to work independently and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve outstanding issues.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple jobs and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment with fluctuating priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Power Point required.

  • Desire to learn and grow with the company.

Credentials and Experience

  • High School Diploma minimum, Bachelor's or Associates Degree preferred.

  • 5 years of manufacturing experience, at least 2 years in a Leadership role preferred.

  • Experience managing a powder coat or wet paint system for industrial paint is highly preferred.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
