Machinist – Door Security

Position Overview:

Join our dynamic production team as a Machinist and play a pivotal role in crafting the components that keep people all around the world safer and more secure. This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery including CNC/manual machines, lathes, and mill turns. Key Responsibilities:

  • Skilfully set up and operate a diverse array of machining tools, ensuring all equipment is aligned with technical specifications and ready to deliver top-notch results.

  • Utilize advanced CNC programming and CAD/CAM software to bring blueprints and design layouts to life, ensuring every cut meets our rigorous standards.

  • Engage in precise machine changeovers and adjustments, guaranteeing minimal downtime and maintaining production flow.

  • Use your strong understanding of mathematics and measurement instruments to calculate exact dimensions and tolerances, fostering unmatched quality in our manufacturing processes.

  • Conduct thorough inspections and measurements of finished units, identifying and rectifying defects to uphold our commitment to quality.

  • Lead troubleshooting and maintenance efforts to resolve any machine or setup issues, enhancing machine longevity and performance.

  • Foster a culture of safety and orderliness within the production area, training peers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives such as kaizen and quality enhancement projects.

  • Respond swiftly to interruptions or outages, to get equipment back online ensuring consistent productivity.

    We’re looking for a strong team player with :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong preference for candidates with technical certification, vocational training in machining, or a completed apprenticeship in a related field.

  • Extensive experience as a Machinist with a demonstrated proficiency in both CNC and manual machining techniques.

  • Solid ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.

  • Expertise in operating and maintaining machining equipment to exacting tolerances and precision.

  • Basic knowledge of Metallurgy, plus strong analytical and meticulous problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

  • Self-starter with the capability to work independently under minimal supervision and flexible enough to work overtime as needed.

    1. Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
