Oregon Lottery Senior Manager, Security in Salem, Oregon

We're looking for one (1) Senior Manager, Security to lead a team of Security Specialists responsible for ensuring the fairness, integrity, security, and honesty of the Lottery through both physical and cyber security. You will be based in Salem, Oregon and qualify for PERS police and fire benefits program.

About the Role:

You will report to the Assistant Director for Security while leading a team of Security Specialists to ensure both the physical and game security of the lottery products. The security team works alongside Oregon State Police detectives assigned to lottery compliance and criminal investigations. You will help lead the business continuity efforts for lottery, oversee security contracts, departmental budgets, develop and implement processes, metrics, policies, and programs. You will be an advisor to Lottery management about security issues. You will also ensure security of Lottery assets, safety of personnel, and integrity of Lottery games.

  • Provide leadership, planning, project coordination, and management of the daily activities of the assigned areas in Security.

  • Manage, implements, and oversees assigned security strategies and programs.

  • Manage the security budget and contracts.

  • Manage data, metrics, and trends to guide goals and priorities.

  • Partner with the AD for Security to identify opportunities for process improvement and new programs.

  • Partner with the AD for Security to manage the business continuity programs for lottery.

  • Oversee the physical security for all lottery sites to include management of surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems, emergency responses, evacuation, and other related life safety protocols.

  • Lead the review of security and risk management investigations.

  • Ensure compliance and integrity for tickets and prize validations and oversee the destruction of tickets.

  • Paticipate in the planning and coordination of independent security reviews and in Business Continuity planning.

  • Provide back up to AD of Security and maintain confidential information.

You Have:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and seven (7) years of experience in a regulatory or compliance field which must include a minimum of five (5) years of certified law enforcement experience with a record in good standing. Knowledge and experience in computer security is required which may include experience with surveillance equipment, access systems, intrusion detection systems, computer security, computer forensics or other similarly related security program(s). Four (4) years of experience must be management experience;OR

  • Ten (10) years of experience in a regulatory or compliance field which must include a minimum of five (5) years of certified law enforcement experience with a record in good standing. Knowledge and experience in computer security is required which may include experience with surveillance equipment, access systems, intrusion detection systems, computer security, computer forensics or other related security program(s). Four (4) years of experience must be management experience.

  • Valid driver's license in your state of residence.

  • Ability to obtain Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) certification.
