About the Role

As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Analyst, you will assist in the management of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs relative to a small to medium-sized market area.

This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in managing HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and needs of client account.

  • Support the process for monitoring injury, illness, and incident-related performance.

  • Assist in executing HSE plans, playbooks, and procedures for the account.

  • Assist in creating topics and/or content for weekly toolbox talk. Assist in creating safety content for the monthly safety presentation, and present material to the team.

  • Perform facility safety inspections with guidance of HSE Manager and submit reports accordingly on findings.

  • Work with contractors and vendors to ensure they meet all safety standards and protocols when working at client facilities.

  • Assist in onboarding new employees, ensuring appropriate documentation is received.

  • Assist in tracking and assigning all core safety courses for completion.

  • Run reports and track program implementations.

  • Generate reports to ensure team is aware of upcoming competency verifications that are due.

  • Attend HSE related meetings that benefit the account, and mandated meetings for Life Sciences division. Update leadership of changes or new mandates required or reviewed during such meetings.

  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Exchange straightforward information. Asks questions and check for understanding.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Certification in one of the following is preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).

  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HSE Analyst position is $75,000 annually [or $36.06 per hour] and the maximum salary for the HSE Analyst position is $85,000 annually [or $40.87 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
