Securian Financial Group Inc. External Wholesaler (RVP) - SecureCare in Saint Paul, Minnesota

*At Securian Financial the internal title for this position is Sales Sr Con. Overview: Securian is currently seeking an External Wholesaler (RVP) for the south territory. The External Wholesaler will partner with an Internal Wholesaler to support the designated territory. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Manage the Linked Benefit (SecureCare) sales effort for the south territory (TX, AR, LA, OK, NM, CO, MS) through personal visits to establish, maintain and strengthen relationships with assigned Brokerage General Agencies (BGA's) as well as their employees and the advisors whom they support. Develop strong partnerships with the marketers, financial professionals (as applicable), and case managers by helping the agency partner build their business through value-added sales strategies. Work closely with internal wholesaler on business planning to ensure consistent sales message and all administrative details are completed. Maintain detailed database of existing and prospective agency partners, utilizing data to customize sales campaigns. Conduct frequent sales activities and product training for existing and prospective partners. Conduct public and client appreciation seminars/events. Manage travel expenses and budgets effectively. Deliver administrative reports in a timely manner by using Salesforce. Assist marketing and product development in creating new materials and designing new product solutions. Qualifications: External wholesaling experience preferably with Linked Benefit/Hybrid Long Term Care products. Ability to work autonomously with little direct supervision. Demonstrated sales skills with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Technical skills to use Salesforce and Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment. Flexibility to adapt to a growing organization. Ability to manage expenses and be fiscally responsible and accountable. Must have Life/Health insurance license. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Prior internal or external wholesaling experience. Active FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses. Physical Job Requirements: Ability to utilize the keyboard, computer and/or mouse for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to work at least 40 hours per week. Ability to utilize the phone and/or virtual meeting platform for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to meet the physical demands of travel - approximately 70% of role. This includes the ability to operate a motor vehicle as well as an ability to utilize air travel.
