JOB SUMMARY:

The Student Research and Service-Learning Coordinator will report to the associate dean of student affairs and collaborate with the associate dean of health systems science and director of student research to administer the support, programming, and data-tracking for the student research program and service-learning program at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide administrative support and coordinate the school of medicine programming for the day-to-day operations of student research, service-learning, and interest groups aligned with the needs and expectations of the school of medicine and accreditation bodies (i.e. LCME)

  • Maintain Canvas Pages and online platforms related to student research, service-learning, and interest groups

  • Curate and maintain databases related to opportunities and contacts for student research, service-learning, and interest groups.

  • Track, organize, and communicate outcomes related to student research, service-learning, and interest groups.

  • Assist in the development of materials and communication of initiatives related to student research, service-learning, and interest groups.

  • Coordinate and perform clerical/secretarial services: makes arrangement for events and meetings; compose and type correspondence; screen telephone calls.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Interpersonal/human relations and customer service skills

  • Report preparation skills

  • Ability to maintain database information

  • Ability to operate personal computer with various software programs, including publishing software

  • Ability to meet deadlines and give attention to details and accuracy

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school education or equivalent; supplemented with three to five (3-5) years of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS:

Associate's or bachelor's degree
