Position Summary:

Under the general supervision ofthe Medical Director, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical support to patients and their families. Counsels and provides crises intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker coaches patient on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provides therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent as recognized by an approved government accreditation association.
  • Master\'s degree in social work form an accredited institution or a bachelors degree in psychology, sociology, or other field related to social work required and working toward masters in social work from an accredited school.
  • Certification of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
  • Demonstrates one (1) or more years of recent social work experience, preferably in a similar health care setting.
  • Maintains current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) required or other approved educational programs.
  • Current Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance card (new hires must also complete the application process for this card before being released to their department).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of MGRMC personnel.
  • Ability to evaluate patients for appropriate community service needs or placement.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive communication with patients and family under stressful situations.
  • An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
  • Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Required to have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds.
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.
  • Assist The Director of Operations in Operational and Financial Assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of coding process
  • Five years professional clinical experience.
  • Working knowledge of Meditech system or equivalent and or ability to learn.
