In most cases, the salary is set at the minimum salary for the grade applicant(s) is selected. Responsibilities If selected for this position, you will be responsible for performing advanced and complex litigation support to meet specialized, unique, or unprecedented, litigation support needs of the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of California. Typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to: Supervise the Automated Litigation Support Unit Perform advanced and complex litigation support systems design, development, test, and implementation of substantially new applications of information technology Plan, create, and coordinate litigation support services (including trial preparation and presentation) in response to customer needs. Perform essential litigation support tasks associated with day-to-day operation of the U.S. Attorney's Office litigation support systems. Provide litigation support training as needed within the District. Provide customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and training in response to user requirements. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Note: In order to be considered "qualified" for this position, your specialized experience must be described in your resume. To be qualified at the GS-13 level you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this grade level includes demonstrating the ability to provide leadership and guidance to subordinate staff, providing training, and distributing and monitoring work in progress. Additionally, experience includes the following: assessing service and information requirements needed to complete automated litigation support projects, utilizing network or specialty litigation support hardware and software capabilities for the processing of complex e-discovery, and providing customer service in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. This position requires advanced knowledge and experience with document review platforms, such as IPRO Eclipse, Relativity, Everlaw, Logikcull, or OpenText; eDiscovery processing applications, such as IPRO eScanIT, CloudNine LAW PreDiscovery, or NUIX; trial presentation software, such as Trial Director, Prezi, or Microsoft Power Point; and pre-trial support, including the display of demonstrative exhibits and courtroom technical set-up.
