Catholic Health Services Director - Infection Prevention & Control in Roslyn, New York

Job Details Responsibilities and Competencies: • Participates in all departmental and interdisciplinary committees concerned with infection control policies. • Facilitates compliance and established standards from regulatory agencies; participates in ongoing activities to correct deficiencies. • Implements and maintains a system to detect/report nosocomial infections. • Participates in defining, maintaining and interpreting standards of nursing practice and infection control. • Interfaces with the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and department directors to set and participate in hospital-wide goals, initiatives and PI. • Performs Environment of Care rounds providing feedback and follow-up. • Participates actively in any hospital committee and disaster plan concerned with biologic agents. • Works closely with Employee Health Services for the protection of Hospital Staff. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements: • Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health or Microbiology • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State • Certified in Infection Control • Experience in epidemiology and public health preferred • Knowledge of Joint Commission, State and Federal Regulations • Excellent communication skills • Microsoft Word, Ability to learn AICE Salary Range USD $110,500.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
