QPS EMPLOYMENT GROUP Maintenance Technician in ROSENDALE, Wisconsin

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations. - Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of all equipment. - Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment. - Train junior mechanics on equipment, procedures and troubleshooting practices. - Troubleshoot mechanical systems related to production and plant support equipment. - Root cause analysis on equipment of systems failure. - Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layouts. - Troubleshoot electrical wiring, relay logic, control, and safety circuits. - Troubleshoot electronic boards, PLC;s, touch screens, displays, contactors, motors. - Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection. - Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to power transmissions, chain and belt drives, cams, bearings, and actuators. - Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic controls and components. - Perform basic HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostics. - Teardown and rebuild gearboxes, clutches, actuators, and other assembles related to equipment repair. - Fabricate parts, guarding, and parts modifications for equipment repairs and improvements. - Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. - Perform any other duties as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Maintenance Technician Requirements: - 3 years industrial experience or have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry preferred. - Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of PLC operation, electrical components and systems troubleshooting including use of a multimeter. - Basic shop equipment (mill, lathe, grinder, presses, etc.) - Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred. - Weld different grades of metal for repairs and fabrication using different plant welding techniques (i.e. MIG, TIG, and Arc). - Ability to use and read a volt meter, amp meter, ohm meter, and other electrical testing equipment needed for the facility. - Ability to write work orders, parts requests, shift logs, routine reports, and correspondence. - Ability to read and interpret various safety, maintenance, and procedural documents. - Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift. Required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and taste or smell. - Have appropriate eye, hand, and foot coordination to properly execute position. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply In Person: 376 N.
