RATE RANGE: $40/hr - $44.18/hr **Depending on Experience

SIGN-ON BONUS: up to $7,500

SHIFT: Full-Time, (6:30a-7:30p and/or 6:30p-7:30a)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care and assessment to long term and rehabilitation residents. A Registered Nurse may supervise duties performed by LPN's and CNA 's in a team care setting under the direction of the Nurse Manager., Nursing Supervisor and/or Director of Nursing. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and treatment to long term and rehabilitation residents.

  • Provide assessment and documentation of residents under their care.

  • Initiates and administers Intravenous treatments.

  • Communicates with the Nursing team and medical team as appropriate.

  • Reviews and evaluates the resident care plan.

  • Transcribes Physician orders.

  • May assist in orientating new staff.

  • Maintains competency in all site-specific tasks required by the facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • New York State Licensed Professional Licensure - RN (not expired)

  • Experience in long-term care facility - preferred

  • Able to interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions.

  • Ability to supervise and work well with and show respect toward other health care personnel (i.e., CNAs, LPNs, physicians, etc.), residents, and their family members.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness.

  • Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
