IBM Security Compliance Lead in Rocket Center, West Virginia

Introduction

As a Security Compliance Lead, you'll analyze business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You'll apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Serving as a trusted cyber security advisor, you'll provide thought and people leadership on a team where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to our federal clients to continue to drive innovation and adoption of new technology. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal regulations and have a proven track record of successfully managing security compliance & privacy programs.

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and seasoned Cyber Security Compliance Leader to join our Federal Cyber team. In this role, you will lead a team of cybersecurity professionals in ensuring compliance with federal regulations and standards for our government clients. You will be responsible for a comprehensive security compliance program, conducting security assessments, and managing the overall security posture of our clients' systems. You will support deliver and go-to-market activities where you analyze business requirements to translate those into security solutions that meet our client's needs. Serving as a trusted cyber security advisor, you'll provide thought and people leadership on a team where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to our federal clients to continue to drive innovation and adoption of new technology. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal regulations and have a proven track record of successfully managing security compliance & privacy programs. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals in performing security compliance related activities and assessments for federal government clients.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security compliance program aligned with federal regulations and standards

  • Lead Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts for Federal systems

  • Manage the security risk assessment process, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Oversee the implementation of security controls and ensure they meet compliance requirements.

  • Track and report on security compliance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Stay current on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and federal compliance mandates.

  • Manage and prioritize team workload, ensuring efficient and timely completion of projects.

  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Serve as the direct cyber interface and trusted advisor for our clients and IBM program teams

This position requires the ability to obtain a "Public Trust" Security clearance or higherInformation and Data are some of the most important organizational assets in today's businesses, making cybersecurity more crucial than ever

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ Years of leadership / management of multi-functional cyber teams across Federal programs

  • 3+ years' experience working within a Gov Cloud / Multi-Cloud Env.

  • 5+ years of FedRAMP experience

  • 7+ years of NIST Risk Management Framework RMF experience

  • 7+ years of HIPAA and/or CUI Data Protection experience

  • 3+ Years of Bid & Proposal writing experience

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance from the U.S. Federal Government

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or other STEM related area

  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
