Hub International Learning & Development Assistant in Riverside, California

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and organized Learning and Development Assistant to support our learning and development initiatives.

Job Overview:

As the Learning and Development Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the California Region’s Learning and Development team in various administrative and coordination tasks. You will be responsible for assisting with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training programs, as well as providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to CAL Learning and Development team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and handling correspondence.

Training Program Coordination: Assist in the coordination and logistics of training programs, workshops, and events, including venue booking, participant registration, catering arrangements, and materials preparation.

Learning Management System (LMS) Management: Support the administration of the company's Learning Management System, including user management, content upload, tracking training completion, and generating reports.

Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and databases related to training activities, attendance, feedback, and evaluation results. Prepare regular reports and metrics to track the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Communication and Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding learning and development activities. Communicate effectively with employees, trainers, vendors, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of training programs.

Support Program Evaluation: Assist in collecting feedback from participants, analyzing evaluation data, and making recommendations for improvements to training content and delivery methods.

Research and Analysis: Conduct research on best practices, emerging trends, and innovative approaches in learning and development. Compile information and prepare summaries for review by the Learning and Development team.

Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with special projects, initiatives, and ad hoc tasks as assigned by the SVP, Operations, Learning & Development or trainers and managers of the Learning & Development team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Communications, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in an administrative or coordinator role.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Teams, and Zoom preferred.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.

Job Requirements and Travel Expectations

At HUB, we operate under a hybrid working policy, offering a balance between remote work and in-office collaboration. This means that while you'll have the flexibility to work remotely for a portion of your time, there will also be opportunities and requirements for in-person engagements.

The position will entail approximately 40% travel. This travel component is an essential aspect of the role and may involve visiting attending industry events or participating in team meetings, trainings and events at various HUB locations.
