Accountabilities:

  • Ensures environmental, health, and safety (EHS) performance and compliance.
  • Accountable for the wet end operations (including well fields, pan house, and boiler and engine room operation).
  • Manages area budget/cost, volume, and quality. Manages department project capital budget.
  • Accountable for rotational supervisors (performance managing and coaching and guidance) on the off-shift operations.
  • Manages equipment and process reliability.
  • Works with other departments to meet plant goals and commitments.
  • Participates in production and maintenance coordination.
  • Ensures that department is using standard business processes.
  • Oversees networks and consistency across the plant.
  • Drives improvement on efficiencies and processes.
  • Delivers on special project assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in capital budget and portfolio management.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the shift schedule for rotational supervisors.
  • Reports performance and forecasts to the primary materials business.
  • Participates in succession planning activities.
  • Facilitates interactions between organizations.
  • Develops area manufacturing strategy and cascades the strategy to establish individual employee expectations.
  • Completes compliance requirements, including compliance matrix, and other training for position, as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and legality of all product and ensuring employees do likewise.
  • Must ensure principles of HACCP are followed throughout the plant and by all employees.
  • The Process Engineer will perform the duties of the Wet End Production Manager when on vacation or absent.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.

  • Ensures department goals are aligned with plant business imperatives.
  • Ensures performance goals are met.
  • Establishes and ensures achievement of all unit key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensures adherence to standard work processes.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate standards (e.g., financial, code of business conduct) and adherence to company policies.
  • Manages area budget/cost, volume, and quality.
  • Supports business processes and requirements.
  • Serves as corporate steward.

People Management/Development:
