Critical Care Transport Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Critical Care Transport EMT -Paramedic (CCTEMT-P) is responsible for assisting with urgent and critical care in a prompt and efficient manner for all patients transported via Bon Secours Critical Care Transport. The CCTEMT-P is responsible, in conjunction with other team members, for assessing, planning, organizing, documenting, and evaluating patient care. The CCTEMT-P demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served while on an inter-facility transport. The CCTEMT-P acts as a professional representative of Bon Secours to the community, as an educator to professional groups and to emergency medical services.

Employment Qualifications

  1. Required Minimum Education: Vocational/ Technical Degree in Emergency Medical Technician --Paramedic

  2. 2 Year/ Associates Degree preferred

  3. Emergency Medical Technician -Paramedic BLS, PALS, ACLS, NPR, EVOC required

  4. BLS, ACLS, NRP PALS, EVOC instructor certifications preferred

  5. 2 years of Paramedic experience required

  6. Excellent driving record

  7. Critical Care Transport Experience. Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program Course completion preferred
