Description You might be a good fit for this Accounts Receivable (A/R) position, if you want to join a growing Agriculture company with a dynamic team. You might be a good fit for this position if you can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role will be based in the Richmond, Virginia region and is a permanent employment opportunity.

Your responsibilities

• Contact clients to settle payment issues and establish payment plans as required

• Manage monthly closings and annual reports, including handling payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP

• Answer questions from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

• Post and balance financial data in various ledgers to reconcile bank accounts

• Verify documents and codes

• Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization

• Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks Requirements - Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• Proficient in ERP systems

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired

• Microsoft Excel experience preferred

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
