Compensation: Competitive compensation package starting from $46,000 per year.

How You Will Make an Impact:

The Special Education Teacher teaches in a personalized instructional environment, works with students and/or parents to determine and evaluate the student's academic plan, manages and provides services according to the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP). This position reports to the Principal or designee.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Ohio Teaching Certification with an endorsement in Special Education
  • English Language and Autism Authorizations
  • Eligibility to obtain a teaching permit or teaching internship
  • Prior experience working with exceptional learners strongly recommended
  • Demonstrated initiative and understanding in working with students, parents/guardians, teachers and staff
  • Profficient level of skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other Educational Technology applications
  • Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds
