The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for an Expert DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) in the area of SAP Cloud Analytics (SAC) within the Technology & Engineering unit of the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations team in the Product Engineering board area.

In this role, you will join the Mutli-Tenant Engineering team: We build, harden, and operate the interal SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by the regional Operations teams. You will help deliver SAC to SAP Sovereign Cloud customers aiming at functional completeness, streamlined deployments, and smooth operation. You will be working closely with technical product managers, engineers and architects with a focus on SAC and SAP SuccessFactors (HXM) applications. You will have the opportunity to solve the intricate challenges of scale and security which are unique to SAP Sovereign Cloud, while using your skills in SAC environment setup, functional & technical expertise, complexity analysis, and stakeholder mangement. You will engage closely with Operations colleagues, Security, as well as the different engineering teams.

What you bring

• University degree in computer science, engineering or similar

• Professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies

• Very good product knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SuccessFactors (HCM); SAP BTP background is a big plus

• Experience with SAC system environment setup incl. dependency management and user administration

• Good knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and design incl. hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experiene with Infrastructure as Code: CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, or ArgoCD), Monitoring and Logging (like Splunk, Elasticsearch, or Grafana)

• Solid understanding of deployment automation tools (e.g. Ansible or Terraform) as well as knowledge of GitLab/GitHub

• Experience in Cloud Native technologies such as Container Orchestration (Kubernetes), Docker, repository management (Artifactory), service management (Consul), and microservices is a big plus

• Experience with Security processes and tools (e.g. Vault)

• Fundamental SAP HANA database knowledge is a plus

• Decision-making and can-do attitude

• Excellent methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking

• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams

• Persistence, self-motivation and willingness to work under pressure

• Fluency in written and spoken English

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 5 years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies

• Development experience in at least one programming language

• Professional experience in software engineering roles

• Experience in developing, delivering and maintaining Cloud Products

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 117300 - 246000(USD) USD.The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills,experience, scope ofthe role, location, etc. as determinedthrough theselection process.
