As a Parelegal, you will perform legal research; gather facts and retrieve data, perform initial drafting and analyzing of certain legal documents, collect and compile technical information involving independent decision-making and legal knowledge. What you will be doing Support the commercial and chanage management departments by managing legal claims and documents Drafting of legal documents Management of deadlines and calendars Review all legal forms being submitted to owners Assist with litigation discovery Handle all bond claims Work closely with outside counsel Approve and track all powers of attorney Track all miscellaneous bonds Approve and maintain database of all legal questions we submit on responses to owners Gather and maintain database of liquidated damages, claims, and other legal related information Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan Support published corporate policies What we are looking for Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 1 year related experience and/or training Experience in the A/E/C industry a plus Or 4 years related experience and/or training Paralegal Certificate preferred Why work for us Some of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are: Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vison and/or Provincial Medical Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program Tuition Reimbursement Program Salary Min USD $85,000.00/Yr.
