Conagra Maintenance Technician with Electrical Experience in Rensselaer, Indiana

We are hiring for a Maintenance Technician with electrical experience to help maintain the equipment that produces our delicious Orville Redenbacher's and ActII Microwave Popcorn products at our Rensselaer, IN manufacturing facility. You will report to a Production Manager and join a team of about 250.

Shift: 24/7 Operation; 12-hour shift with 3-2-2 Schedule, rotating days / nights every 4 months.

Location: Located at 750 E Drexel Pkwy, Rensselaer, IN 47978.

Starting Hourly Rate: $33.00 an hour

General:

  • Work with Planner to ensure all cell tasks are properly planned and resourced.

  • Support all departments, including but not limited to PM linkages with Autonomous Maintenance Development (AMD), Focused Improvement (FI) Methods, Early Management (EM) and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS).

  • Assist with maintaining packaging, process, and utility equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively troubleshoot and make routine repairs to all systems - Mechanical, AC/DC, VFDs, PLC.

  • Perform Preventive/Predictive Maintenance (Mechanical and Electrical) as assigned: Lubrication, Rebuild, Time-based replacement.

  • Improve Planned Maintenance activities by providing feedback to Planner.

  • Assist in Planning process by identifying parts and work required using CMMS.

  • Participate in Breakdown Elimination process.

  • Enter accurate data in CMMS.

  • Use blueprints, drawings, electrical schematics, OEM manuals to aid in troubleshooting and Planned/Preventive and Reactive maintenance.

  • Willingness to train and share knowledge with others.

  • Complete assigned training.

  • Fabrication experience (weld, mill, lathe, etc.).

  • Work safety and promote safe work practices.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience/training related to continuous improvement programs (TPM) a definite plus.

  • Team player with desire to succeed and contribute to continuous improvement.

  • Strong analytical skills are a must. Must have proven problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work professionally and effectively with all personnel in plant.

  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

  • Effective computer skills including: SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree.
