SAIC is seeking a SW Engineer Principal. This is a part time/ Casual position and is 100% remote.

The SW Engineer will develop control software in Simulink using the Raptor tool suite for a ground vehicle platform. Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application controls software. Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End-product may be special use, customized, or commercial software. Determines user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, and utility programs. Ensures software standards are met.

The SW Engineer applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts. Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Proficient in Simulink with a concentration in the New Eagle Raptor Suite of tools.

• Extensive knowledge of vehicle development, control methods and testing

• Experience developing generator control software for Hybrid Electric Vehicles

• Experience optimizing energy usage and efficiency with respect to fuel consumption

• 10+ years of High Voltage Lithium architecture and control

• Experienced with vehicle dynamics modeling and controls for traction, stability, ABS and other relevant safety systems

Desired:

• Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
