We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to assist a Product Owner on a software application project. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.

As a Business Analyst at SAIC, you will support the Product Owner in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for our software application projects. You will be responsible for data modeling and mapping, ensuring that data requirements are clearly defined and aligned with business objectives. Your role will involve working closely with stakeholders, development teams, and other business analysts to ensure that project deliverables meet the needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist the Product Owner in gathering and documenting business requirements.

· Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to understand their needs.

· Create data models and data maps to support business requirements.

· Ensure data requirements are clearly defined and documented.

· Prepare clear and detailed documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and data mappings.

· Maintain project documentation and update it as necessary.

· Facilitate communication between stakeholders and development teams.

· Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed of project progress and any changes to requirements.

· Work closely with development teams to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

· Assist in the creation of test cases and participate in testing activities.

· Identify opportunities for improving business processes and system functionalities.

· Propose solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's and 0-2 years of experience, or Equivalent demonstrated through work experience.

· U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance.

· Experience in creating data flow diagrams and entity-relationship diagrams.

· Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA or Trello.

· Basic understanding of data analysis.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

· Basic understanding of data modeling and data mapping concepts.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

· Familiarity with Agile methodology and Scrum practices.

· Experience with business analysis tools and techniques.

· Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

· Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
