Microsoft Threat Intelligence is recruiting advanced threat hunters – with highly honed threat intelligence analysis skills.

We are looking for a Threat Intelligence Analyst II that can work closely with enterprise security teams to identify and investigate nation-state threats and provide techniques to detect and track adversaries Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Responsibilities

  • As a threat intelligence analyst, you will track sophisticated adversaries and use your technical knowledge of adversary capabilities, infrastructure, and techniques to enhance detections and provide actionable intelligence to partner teams.

  • You will identify new data sources for threat hunting to fill gaps and increase visibility.

  • In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with external stakeholders to conduct information sharing to further investigations and threat hunting.

  • You will support investigations into security incidents.

  • These investigations will require an in-depth understanding of Microsoft products and services as well as a variety of 3rd party data providers. You will be required to present your research to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in data modeling, intelligence analysis, cybersecurity and/or anomaly detection

  • OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in data modeling, intelligence analysis, cybersecurity and/or anomaly detection

  • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field

Security Research IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
