Insight Global Support Technician I in Redmond, Washington

Job Description

We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing. They must be willing to take direction as well as be able to work independently, as assigned tasks will vary. ST will build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

We are currently seeking a Support Technician to add to our team. The Support Technicians responsibility will be to support physical network connections, image computers, and interface with vendors

Operate as point of contact for an assigned location being the focal point to escalate and address the needs of the customer. Support Technician monitors task activity, assigns and customer tickets, and works with xfn partners to ensure timely and successful delivery of support tickets and project implementations according to timeline and deliverables.

Support Technicians Responsibilities:

 Work within companies task system

 First point of contact for break fix technicians

 Work with xfn partners and vendors to support physical building network infrastructure.

 Responsible for assisting with projects (retrofits, new process documentation, etc.)

 Understand and debug hardware and Linux OS and Windows related issues.

 Imaging of computers using company tools (windows and linux)

 Interacting with customers while running the Lab Customer Support Center

 Mapping of files shares in multiple operating systems (Documentation Provided)

 Working with customers to support basic windows issues (Installing windows updates)

 Care and maintenance of the RTS Team facilities (Day to day basic cleaning of support space)

Skills and Requirements

Datacenter knowledge

 Experience implementing technology.

 Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

 Strong computer skills especially with the Microsoft Office Suite.

 Strong/proactive work ethics

 Strong Oral and written communication skills

 Experience understanding and communicating technical information to non-experts. 2+ years experience in a research environment.

 2+ years of experience in a data center or related field.

 Knowledge of Windows and server hardware support.

 Knowledge of networks and related hardware support.

 Must have basic knowledge of networking and troubleshooting

 Must have a background in testing physical ethernet connections. null
