Microsoft Corporation Service Engineer II in Redmond, Washington

We are the Azure Remote Rendering (https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/remote-rendering/) (ARR) team, responsible for an Azure service that enables users to render highly complex 3D models in real time in the cloud and stream the image interactively at ultra-low latency on Mixed Reality devices.

We have an open position for a Service Engineer II within the ARR service team in Redmond.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with peers to create innovative solutions.

  • Deliver performant & scalable service code, meeting security, compliance & observability standards, across multiple platforms, and release high-quality deliverables on time.

  • Troubleshoot & debug malfunctions of software applications and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.

  • Prototype, design, and develop components and features within services that integrate with Azure infrastructure and core Mixed Reality functionalities.

  • Perform and thrive in an environment where your work can change rapidly in response to customer feedback and data.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C#, and multithreaded programming

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C# or C/C++ and multi-threaded programming.

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C# or C/C++ and multi-threaded programming.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Azure Cloud Services or other related cloud technologies.

  • Experience with mixed reality related technologies and devices.

  • Experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Software Engineers, Program Managers and Designers.

  • Experience with cross platform development.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
