Job Description:

Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a senior program manager to support the Infrastructure Planning and Acquisition organization. CO+I is responsible for planning, building and operating Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure datacenters across the globe. The organizational scope includes demand and supply planning, business operations and strategic acquisition and prepositioning across land, power, and networking. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Determines and leads process improvements to quickly scope insights. Ensures alignment between the customer, the market, internal stakeholders, and the goals of and strategy of Microsoft.

  • Collaborates with others (e.g., Engineering, Marketing, Design) to ensure that they can satisfy customer requirements. Evaluates the opportunity to determine for greatest value to the business.

  • Makes adjustments or course corrections when projects are not aligned to schedules or goals.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Collaborates with others to track, coordinate, and communicate end-to-end project schedules for multiple feature areas (e.g., product, service). Works with others to establish and monitor processes and helps hold stakeholders accountable for following the established schedule and processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading initiatives from conception to completion.

  • Synthesizes findings within workstream and identifies links to broader strategic efforts for content and external facing thought leadership. Carries out related reporting and exception management as required.

  • Lead cross-functional v-teams to execute complex, multi-faceted programs and projects related to cloud infrastructure.

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

Required/ Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within he San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
