Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Redmond, Washington

We are at the heart of multi-billion-dollar Microsoft Ads busines are responsible for core algorithms and tools that drive the Marketplace. As a Senior Product Manager in this team, you would be in the driving seat of some of the highly advanced and visible products in the Ads industry.  Ever wonder how a search query is matched with the right ad at the right time? How does the Pay-per-click auction run? How does bidding work? That’s us. This team is truly at the cutting edge of the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) advances (including state of the art languge learning models (LLM) and deals with data at the scale that few companies on this planet do. We define, build, and drive several marquee automation products for advertisers (Automated bidding, and Performance Max to name a couple of popular ones) as well as highly sophisticated internal tools. We have big ambitions for Microsoft Ads, and this is an exciting time to join the ride. 

Responsibilities

  • Owning and articulating the strategy and roadmap for your product areas. 

  • Being comfortable with ambiguity and driving clarity across teams 

  • Effectively collaborating across org boundaries and disciplines such as Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Legal, and other engineering teams. 

  • Representing the products to our advertiser customers

  • Diving deep into data to help inform product changes and new opportunities while closely partnering with ML and Data scientists. 

  • Driving Go-To-Market (GTM) efforts with marketing and sales teams 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with end-user facing products and services, focus on UX.

  • Data analysis experience with Excel, PowerBI, SQR, R, Python/Pandas, or other tools.

  • Project management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills.

  • Proficient written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of organization, technical and non-technical.

  • Analytical aptitude and track record of problem solving.

  • Experience with A/B testing is a plus.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
