Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Redmond, Washington

Windows poses a unique challenge for developers due to device and API diversity. With the SiGMA (Silicon, Graphics, Media and AI ) AI (Artificial Intelligence) Model and Platform team, you will help support the enablement of AI at scale across the Windows and XBOX hardware ecosystem through a DirectX layered platform, focusing on the DirectML API.

DirectML is a single, low-level API that provides ML hardware acceleration and optimization across the varied Widows hardware ecosystem. It is part of the DirectX stack, integrating with DirectX12, integrates with popular ML Frameworks, such as the ONNX Runtime (ORT), and works across a variety of in-market GPUs and NPUs.

As a Senior Product Manager on the SiGMA AI Model and Platform team, you will define key deliverables for the DirectML team that supports integrations with various hardware vendors and ML frameworks, work with key customers on enablement to the DirectML platform, and drive impact for the Windows and XBOX AI strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive product feature roadmaps, ensuring our solutions exceed the evolving demands of the AI and ML landscape on Windows and XBOX

  • Work closely with engineers to define feature requirements, designs, and delivery targets in alignment with key internal stakeholder, external hardware vendors, ML frameworks, and customers onboarding to the DirectML platform

  • Collaborate and drive alignment with a broad range of internal and external partners to bring end to end customer value to life

  • Identify, elaborate, and prioritize strategic growth opportunities for the DirectML platform

  • Contribute to a culture that fosters creativity, diversity, and inclusion

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of technical proficiency and a demonstrated ability to go deep in technical areas as required.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in the AI or Machine learning industry.

  • Understanding of the Windows OS, DirectX, and Windows hardware ecosystem.

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate solutions to complex technical problems.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
