Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Redmond, Washington

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be at the heart of co-innovating, incubating, and developing our next-gen memory-optimized products. This involves utilizing the latest Compute Express Link (CXL), which is the industry-standardized cache-coherent protocol for extending and pooling memory. Responsibilities

  • You will collaborate closely with system engineers and architects in the Azure services team, various software development teams across Microsoft, hardware development teams, as well as sourcing, capacity planning and management.

  • You will influence others to drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria across divisions. You’ll also be an expert in identifying long-term investment opportunities and engaging partners to garner support for those areas.

  • You will define a feature set and facilitate senior-level usability reviews with customers. You’ll own the roadmap for multiple feature areas across divisions, and will collaborate with a partner team to build golden configurations and drive scenario walkthroughs.

  • You will scale Product Marketing teams by building marketing and roll-out plans, as well as leading the creation of customer support plans. You’ll also take advantage of major opportunities to promote the feature areas you worked on and present at large events.

  • As an expert, you will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs in order to improve product development in multiple areas. You’ll also identify features to deprecate, manage customer communities, and build trust with targeted customers across sectors.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year of experience in computer hardware design, and/or interaction with hardware from systems software (OS, Hypervisor, Drivers, Firmware) and applications. 

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred / Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Intellectual curiosity about learning and deploying new technologies.

  • Problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.

  • Skilled in partnering and influencing system engineers, computer architects, hardware design engineers and executives.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
