Job Description:

Job Title: Network Engineer III Location: Redmond, WA Pay Rate Based on Experience: $50-$58/hr Contract Duration: 11-months

The Network Engineer contractors will be responsible for the following:

• Rack Configuration and Operationalization:Configure and operationalize networking for test venue racks based on provided specifications, setup requirements, and connections. This includes initial setup and subsequent reconfigurations as testing requirements evolve.
• Automation of Verification Steps:Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline the verification process of network configurations, ensuring that each configuration meets specified requirements efficiently and effectively.
• Troubleshooting and Support:Provide troubleshooting support for networking issues encountered by test venues. This includes diagnosing and resolving complex network problems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of test infrastructure.
• Clarification and Documentation of Requirements:Work closely with test-venue/lab teams to clarify rack and network configuration requirements. This involves proactively engaging with stakeholders to understand new requirements, document changes, and communicate any impacts on network design and functionality.
• Network Segmentation and Configuration:Execute tasks related to network segmentation and the transition to IPv6 as required by requested test venues, ensuring that network infrastructure aligns with evolving testing and operational needs.
• Process Improvement and Best Practices:Identify opportunities for process improvement and the adoption of best practices in network configuration and troubleshooting. Provide recommendations to TNT for enhancing network reliability, security, and efficiency in production setting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, Firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM etc.
• Experience with one or more of the following router, server load balancer, and firewall vendor platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, Arista, Brocade, Extreme, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.
• 3+ years of major internet routing protocols experience through network layers 1-4.
• 3+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.
• Experience Python and providing valuable insights.
• 3+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience.
• Lead improvements in existing processes and identify opportunities to enhance or develop new processes.
• Experience working in a highly available network and highly operationally aware.
• Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
• Experience work in the Lab.

• Experience with IPv6/IPv4 Design and implementation.
