ManpowerGroup Azure SQL VM Support Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Our Fortune 500 client is seeking an Azure SQL VM Support Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have core SQL knowledge, 10+ years’ experience with Azure and experience with connectivity skill which will align successfully in the organization.

Azure SQL VM Support Engineer

Remote, 18 Month Contract

As a Technical Support Engineer you will own, troubleshoot, and solve complex customer technical issues. This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your career growth by honing your problem-solving, collaboration and research skills, and developing your technical proficiency.

Typical Day in the Role

  • Key projects: This role will contribute to Managing cases from end to end, collaborating with team for resolution.

  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:

  • 10% spent in research.

  • 10% in meetings

  • 70/80% working cases, resolving and troubleshooting

Responsibilities:

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years experience with core SQL knowledge

  • Minimum 10+ years experience with Azure

  • Minimum 10+ years experience with connectivity skill

Response and Resolution:

  • Own, investigate and solve complex customer technical issues and act as an advisor to the customer, collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices

Readiness :

  • Lead in building communities with peer delivery roles and share your knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching and mentoring of others.

  • Deepen your technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve complex customer issues, through training and readiness.

Product/Process Improvement:

  • Engage with Microsoft Engineering/ Supportability teams to investigate potential product defects and help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools driving Microsoft product improvements

Qualifications-

  • Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 5+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience

  • Experience with setup and troubleshooting of SQL Servers or Databases.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data captures and trace logs to resolve customer issues in production environments.

  • Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
