We are looking for a Payroll Processor who is comfortable and capable of working independently in our busy Payroll office to join our team.

As a part of a fast paced, dynamic Payroll team, you will perform complex work involved in the maintenance of the company’s payroll; maintain employee payroll information in an integrated information data system, audit and process incoming payroll data; assist departments with applicable forms and processes; compile and administer retro pay; and perform related work as required. Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares and produces weekly payroll for multi-location in a high volume environment

  • Maintain employee information in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS); i.e. new hires, setting up tax codes, department, costing, etc.

  • Calculation and entry of paid time off including; vacations, personal days, sick pay, jury duty, bereavement, etc.

  • Auditing of weekly payroll and system entry, address corrections. Audit time keeping.

  • Processing of wage garnishments; i.e. levy, student loans, taxes, etc.

  • Utilizes FedEx to create labels and track packages

  • Supports department by covering workflow in the absence of fellow payroll processors.

  • Prepares surveys, store discount, unemployment forms, employment verification forms, etc.

  • Communicates and provides support to individual Human Resource offices for payroll related issues and processes.

  • Maintain records via hardcopy and electronically.

Qualifications:

  • Possess strong communication skills (verbal and written); ability to maintain confidentiality; strong phone and math skills, and highly organized.

  • Strong computer skills in such programs as Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Must be highly organized, acute accuracy and be able to meet deadlines, as Payroll is highly sensitive.

  • Be able to embrace position changes and learn new systems and processes.

  • 6 months to 1 year of payroll processing preferred

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
