We are currently hiring for a Safety Supervisor for our east division to ensure that our technicians are in proper alignment with corporate safety programs and protocols as they help to connect America.

    Overview

  • Regularly ensures proper alignment with corporate safety programs and protocols.

  • Be proactive in the establishment of safety goals and objectives which sets the Company apart as the employer of choice and coordinate safety training and safety communication platforms designed to prevent accidents.

  • Monitor safety regulations established at the corporate level and provide technical support to field personnel to ensure compliance with all corporate, Federal and State safety regulations.

  • D evelop measures to identify and report trends to ensure requisite focus of effort is achieved as necessary to meet and exceed all safety and training goals and objectives.

  • Actively participate in investigations of all vehicular and workers compensation accidents to determine cause and effect of accident and report the same to the Corporate Safety Director.

  • Develop recommendations to reduce and/or eliminate future accidents.

    What you will do...

  • You will be responsible for the safety and well being of all employees within your assigned systems.

  • You will be responsible to ensure Drive Cam review is completed on a daily basis.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the company’s Safety Program is being followed in the systems.

  • You will ensure that each system possesses the proper safety equipment and is using this equipment appropriately and reports concerns immediately to local operations management and the Safety Director.

  • You will ensure regular PPE and vehicle inspections are occurring for each system.

  • You will provide necessary training to Cable Technicians on all safety procedures relating to their job.

  • You will conduct regular safety inspections, Job Safety Observations (JSO) and Gate Checks, at systems and submit reports to the local and regional management team.

  • You will participate in all vehicular and workers compensation investigations and occasional General Liability investigations.

  • You will provide required updates to the national safety leadership team on a weekly basis.

  • You will ensure that weekly safety meetings are occurring, and proper documentation is being filed, such as attendance rosters in all cases.

  • You will participate in weekly/monthly Safety conference calls.

  • You will ensure each location is properly maintaining and posting required OSHA logs.

  • You will perform required monthly office inspections and provide documentation to the national safety leadership team,

  • You will provide timely/immediate updates of any unsafe work acts to the national safety leadership team.

  • You will ensure systems are in compliance with their customer’s requirements when conducting field JSO’s

  • You will provide weekly feedback on JSO’s inspections

  • You will interact with system supervision and management to emphasize areas of need from inspection quality issues in the field

  • You will establish a fair rotation of inspections to ensure all installers are being checked on a monthly basis

Qualifications

What we are looking for..

  • You must have the ability to effectively deal with other people, especially other company personnel, to enlist needed cooperation in implementing regulatory requirements.

  • You must be able to deal with regulatory agencies, consultants and other contractor personnel.

  • You must have excellent technical writing skills for development, implementation and maintenance of training programs.

  • You must be proficient in Microsoft Office software with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.

  • This role will require travel to other locations up to 50%
