The Sr. Director, Global Commercial Strategy Oncology, ST3 DAS, Portfolio Strategy & Early Development reports to the Vice President, Commercial Disease Area Strategy (DAS) Leader for ST3 (Solid Tumors Targeted Therapy) and leads a team of Global Strategic Marketing Manager(s). The Sr Director is responsible for leading the portfolio strategy for our ST3 DAS, including amivantamab.

The Sr. Director, Global Commercial Strategy Oncology, ST3 DAS, Portfolio Strategy & Early Development contributes to optimizing the value of our global portfolio in collaboration with key functions across the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO), Research and Development (R&D), and business regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning and management of the ST3 portfolio, aligning it with the oncology overall business objectives

  • Pipeline Evaluation: Assess the potential of new oncology assets and therapies for inclusion in the ST3 portfolio, conducting rigorous due diligence and risk assessments

  • Lead development and implementation of key components of the early/ late stage and portfolio commercial strategy as appropriate, including market definition, indication sequencing, value strategy, differentiation, and preliminary positioning.

  • Effectively partner with R&D and serve as the “voice of the customer” on multiple cross-functional Compound Development Teams and within the DAS, to ensure the development of highly differentiated products with strong evidence-based value propositions.

  • Demonstrate strong external focus by active engagement with key stakeholders including Key Opinion Leaders as well as patient advocacy groups.

  • Drive innovation and explore new opportunities to enhance the ST3 portfolio's competitiveness and value

  • Support the development of a robust portfolio strategy for the DAS providing commercial input for portfolio and therapeutic area strategies and business plans.

  • Proactively identify potential area of opportunity and collaborate with Business Development on the evaluation of external licensing opportunities to complement internal assets to optimize the TA pipeline.

  • Portfolio Optimization: Continuously evaluate and adjust the oncology portfolio to maximize market competitiveness, profitability, and long-term growth.

  • Collaborate closely with Sr. Disease Directors, regional and cross-functional teams, including R&D, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of portfolio strategies

  • Attract talent by leveraging personal and organizational network by promoting the GCSO brand.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.

  • A minimum of 10 years of business experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and/or relevant industry.

  • Must have a proven track record of exceptional team & cross functional leadership.

  • In-line pharmaceutical marketing experience with brand responsibility is required.

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills are required, as are the abilities to master complexity and to integrate insights into strategies

  • Ability to understand research/scientific and medical/clinical data is required

  • Demonstrated global mindset is required

  • A demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geography, with high-level managers and executives is required.

  • An ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time and driving decision making is required.

  • Strong executive verbal and written communication skills are required, along with demonstrated presentation skills.

  • Skilled in the Microsoft Office 365 platform (Incl PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote and Teams)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in business or life sciences is preferred.

  • Launch experience and demonstrated ability to work with regional partners is preferred.

  • Oncology experience is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with R&D programs, managing strategic alliances, global market access and medical strategy is preferred.

  • Global experience is preferred

This position is based in Raritan, NJ and will required up to 25% domestic and international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $163,000 to $282,900.

The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.
