In this job, you will perform a variety of skilled duties involved in the inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and servicing of oil distribution equipment, components, facilities and machinery, such as pipes, seals, shafts, stuffing boxes, gears, motors, bearings, couplings, valves and pumps in a tank farm. You will also ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. The wage for this position is \$24.77.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Required

Applicants must be capable of working efficiently at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week. Overtime is sometimes required to meet deadlines.

Have a good attitude and be a team player.

Possess good verbal communication skills.

Good mechanical aptitude and attention to details.

Mechanical pump or rotating equipment experience.

Requires a clear criminal background, driving record, and drug screen.

High School Diploma or GED.

This job can be physically demanding and requires the ability to stand for most of a workday. Strength requirements are the ability to handle weights and forces of 50 lbs or more.

Preferred

Computer aptitude. Must be capable of using Word, Excel, etc.

Experience with pump distributor or related service company.

A working knowledge of bearings, seals and packing, motors, electrical wiring, pumps, tools, and general mechanical principals

Shop Mechanic experience with the following abilities: disassemble and inspect equipment, prepare paperwork, determine cause of failure, equipment assembly and testing, record job time accurately, identify equipment and parts accurately, keep work areas clean and organized, and the ability to follow established policies and procedures.
