COLSA Corporation Software Engineer/Developer in Quantico, Virginia

Interested in joining our multi-disciplinary digital forensic team to enable and enhance our Department of Justice clients? In your role you will work with multiple teams to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and migrate solutions in multiple environments for national security missions spanning infrastructure development and management, systems engineering, and administrative management which are transforming the way law enforcement and the intelligence community handle and analyze information and translate it into actionable intelligence.

  • Lead, design, develop, and test software applications/systems in accordance with government’s requirements.

  • Provide system recommendations, oversee technical requirements, monitor project progress, and document system design and modifications.

  • Develop technical documentation as required by the government.

  • Maintain system accreditation through collaboration with appropriate personnel for operational and security needs.

  • Make technical recommendations to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Develop and deploy solutions to encrypt data from a network of distributed sensors, and develop methods for standardized access to this data across many diverse data-forensic capabilities.

  • Perform advanced protocol analysis of Internet Protocols.

  • Automate solutions to apply Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on networks, systems, and services.

  • Understand technical and policy requirements and best practices for handling, capturing and securely processing sensitive network data.

  • Develop, enhance, and monitor various systems/applications/platforms, including APIs and web services.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • Eight years of technical experience as a developer on host applications or embedded systems.

  • Five years of technical experience as a developer working on lawful intercept solutions.

  • Experience with developing complex software for government customer, and designing specifications for functional requirements.

  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and network-based communication protocols, including reverse-engineering of applications.

  • Experience in Windows and/or Linux application and driver development.

  • Programming languages: C, C++, C# or .NET Framework.

  • Scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, or shell scripting.

  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance (with SCI/CI polygraph eligibility).

  • U.S. Citizenship required

    Preferred qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with current CI polygraph
