Responsibilities and Duties

  • Clerical duties

  • Assisting with new hire paperwork and orientation

  • Payroll time keeping

  • Utilizing Excel spreadsheets

  • Uploading QA/QC documentation

  • Managing meeting notes

  • Managing purchase orders

  • Managing RFIs and Submittal paperwork

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. An Associate’s Degree is preferred but not required.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of full-time administrative assistant related work experience is required. Previous construction industry experience is preferred but not required.

  • Communication: good verbal and written communication skills

  • Computer Skills:  Accurate typing skills and proficient in using email, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing applications: specifically, Microsoft  products (Outlook, Windows, Word, and Excel); willing to learn new software applications.

  • Customer Service: manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

  • Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

  • Experience with union staff or the construction industry is a plus.

  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
