Oasis Ascent Building Maintenance Worker in Provo, Utah

Located in Provo, Utah


Oasis Ascent is a short-term residential treatment program for teenagers located in Provo, Utah. The families we serve are in crisis and need support keeping their children safe right now. At Oasis Ascent, we provide thorough assessment, around-the-clock secure care, and intensive support to young men. We are a safe setting for adolescents to stabilize while they and their families meet with licensed clinicians to determine the underlying causes of distress and what next steps make the most sense for their needs.

As our Building Maintenance, you will help in the upkeep of our beautiful campus and oversee all building-related activities. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool. The goal is to ensure our program is clean, beautiful, secure, up-to-date, and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions and students can receive the best care possible.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage facility maintenance across campus

  • Oversee maintenance technicians, who assists you

  • Daily repairs and maintenance in electrical, plumbing, light welding, and basic carpentry

  • Compliance checks

  • Vehicle maintenance

  • General upkeep of our lovely campus

  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments

  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards

  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations

  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs

  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors

  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.

  • Allocate office space according to needs

  • Handle insurance plans and service contracts

  • Keep financial and non-financial records

  • Perform analysis and forecasting

Requirements

Please ensure your resume includes education, work experience, certifications, and licenses

  • 21+ years of age

  • Able to pass criminal investigation background check

  • Able to pass motor vehicle record check

  • Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)

  • 3+ years Maintenance experience

  • 2+ years Management experience

  • Able to drive large equipment, trucks and trailers

Preferred

  • Bachelor degree in psychology, marketing, business administration, or related science

  • Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position

  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices

  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Good analytical/critical thinking

  • BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage
