The Program Administrator is responsible for oversight of the Hospitalist Program operations staff with accountability for the assigned market program operations. Reporting to the Vice President for Greater Texas Program Operations, this leader will manage to program budgets for finance, staffing, quality performance, facility, and physician relations. This leader drives performance of operations staff providing growth, development and ongoing management of program operations staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managers Operational staff to include Navigators and Care Team Associates, is responsible for the market based program operations to include policies and procedures, care and value, quality, and patient satisfaction results

  • All aspects of operational staff development to include hiring, training, coaching and development

  • Promotes the provision of cost-effective, high quality health care services to patients

  • Maximizes staff performance and technical expertise through clearly defined objectives, training, skill development and leadership to ensure quality services to all customers

  • Collaborates with the Medical Director and Senior Leadership in the preparation and implementation of budgets. Recommends funding based on knowledge of policies, costs and operating practices

  • Represents the program at public and professional meetings and conferences

  • Participates in development and implementation of systems and processes that support program operations

  • Maintains effective cross functional services by working effectively with the Medical Director, Market Medical Director, Senior Leadership, Market Operations, Regional Team, Clinic Operations and other corporate departments

  • Handles complex and/or difficult provider inquires and/or problems and facilitates resolution of provider issues. Continuously strive to ensure that favorable relationships are maintained while ensuring the interest of the organization

  • Takes ownership of total work process and provides constructive information to ensure the program has support to meet initiatives

  • Analyzes data while collaborating and/or participating in discussions with colleagues and business partners to identify potential root cause of issues

  • Demonstrate understanding of providers' goals and strategies in order to facilitate the analysis and resolution of their issues

  • Work with relevant internal stakeholders to identify obstacles and barriers identified by providers or other teams, and methods for removing them

  • Guides, oversees and ensures competency of the program support staff

  • Assist corporate and local education team and provides input on tools used to educate providers and program support staff

  • Ensures all education objectives are being met, both on a formal and ad-hoc basis

  • Facilitates provider discussions and assists in negotiating resolutions with the capability to determine if/when issues require escalation

  • Collectively works with cross functional leadership to eliminate duplication of efforts and member or provider abrasion

  • Includes up to 15% local travel

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years Healthcare operations/program administration experience

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience

  • Solid working knowledge of Medicare Advantage quality operations

  • Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to Medicare

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Must be proficient in Excel

  • Proven ability and willingness to travel, both locally and non-locally, as determined by business need

  • Proven exceptional analytical and data representation expertise

  • This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease

Preferred Qualification:

  • Project Management experience

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to pounds of force

  • Ability to properly drive and operate a company vehicle
