Our Electronics team is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to provide technical and strategic sustainability solutions to the pursuit, design, and delivery of major projects in the datacenter and semiconductor manufacturing sectors.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Work with house engineers on design concepts to optimize building performance and efficiency.

  • Engage in and create development programs designed to broaden knowledge and sharpen skills related to construction sustainability.

  • Participate in meetings and events that require strong writing and speaking skills. Remain dedicated to sustainable development practices and assist with LEED deliverables on active projects

  • Believe and contribute to a safe work environment.

  • Strong 3d computer graphic skills using InDesign, photoshop, and 3d studio, and Revit.

  • Project experience in electronics facilities, laboratories, and/or data centers desired.

  • Modeling, preparing drawings and sketches using Revit and applicable software, applying suitable design criteria.

  • Create conceptual models based on verbal direction or rough sketches from architects or other designers.

  • Maintain reliable work practices to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

  • Proficiency in self-checking work and coordinating with other designers to resolve design.

  • Correctly using established workflows, systems, and tools, including design automation skills. Familiarity with emerging technologies.

Here’s what you’ll need :

REQUIREMENTS: Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture and 3 years of work experience in Sustainability-related Design Architecture or Construction Project Coordination or Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture and at least one year of work experience in Sustainability-related Design Architecture or Construction Project Coordination.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Problem-solving; ability to provide critical evaluation and resolution of issues within architecture design, or related field.

  • Design development; Ability to develop next level of detail for design issues and apply appropriate solutions.

  • Building Technology; Understanding of building performance and deficiencies, ability to apply technical solutions.

  • Architectural graphic, hand sketch, and digital formatting skills.

  • 3d capabilities using InDesign, photoshop, 3d studio, and Revit. Integration of Revit with energy modeling.

  • Energy and LCA (life-cycle assessment) modeling and advanced technical analysis for LEED projects.

  • Administrative support of projects including business correspondence, new project set-up, meeting coordinating and documentation.

  • LEED Green Associate or B C Specialty Accreditation.

  • LEED Project Documentation experience, including cross-discipline coordination, and compiling credit exhibits, calculators, and other LEED deliverables.

  • Understanding of emerging sustainability practices in the design and construction industries.
