Responsibilities

Cedar Hills Hospital (Inpatient) is a 98-bed, freestanding psychiatric hospital and outpatient center specializing in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Cedar Hills Hospital provides a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients including

• Crisis Stabilization

• Mental Health

• Substance Abuse

• The Military Program

• Co-Occurring Disorders

  Qualifications

• Education: Associates of Nursing; BSN preferred.

• Licensure: Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse through the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Maintains a valid driver’s license, preferred.

• Must be able to demonstrate core nursing knowledge/competencies including but not limited to medication administration. Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute policies, procedures, treatment plans, and clinical standards. Must have the ability to provide succinct and effective oral and written communications to co-workers and patients.

• Demonstrate basic computer literacy. Must be able to make sound, independent judgements based on scientific and/or ethical principles. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, preferred.

• Training: Must successfully complete Handle with Care, CPR and Service Excellence within 90 days of employment and recertify at the required intervals. Must successfully complete Handle with Care before assigned patient care.

• May be asked to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
