We are looking for an I and C Engineer to perform all conventional aspects of I&C Engineering, exhibit high level of attention to detail and quality control, and take responsibility for managing workload, making and keeping commitments, and taking full ownership of assigned work.

Interact plan and coordinate the activities of system owners, engineers, contractors, and technicians in support of troubleshooting and/or integrating control changes to their system to achieve the required results.

Demonstrate the application of engineering principles theories and concepts in the Instrumentation and Controls discipline while knowing other related disciplines. Provide facilities construction support to include design input.

Create system specification standards for PLCs and I&C system shutdowns technical training and maintenance procedures. Proficiency in control panel design; Selection and configuration of I/O modules and I/O mapping. Developing Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology.

Specifying instruments including temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, and analytical instrumentation for critical processes in gas and liquid systems. Understanding material compatibility of components, instrument selection based on process ranges, and interfacing with Programmable Logic Controllers. Selection of control valves including valve sizing calculations per the ANSI/ISA-75.01 standard.

Provide any calculations required to support the specification of the devices. Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur; Support engineering team on-call rotational process if needed or applicable. Develop datasheets to convey the information to contractors.

Provide specification attachments include I/O assignments, demolition points list, sequence of operations, and control panel datasheets. Developing installation plan drawings and 3D model, network drawings. Designing and specifying Industrial Ethernet/Modbus Networks; Configuring communications cabling for multiple facility equipment rooms which contain the industrial Ethernet core equipment and primary facility control equipment.

Provide support for project specification including input/output assignments, Master of equipment list, and sequence of operations. Supporting technical review of process instrumentation submittals, drawings, and relevant documents.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering or related field and 5 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Special Skills or Other Requirements:

  • Expertise/ knowledge of: Understand P&ID symbology and be able to apply on construction drawings.

  • Interfacing instrumentation with programmable logic controllers. Experience programming PLC’s and SCADA Systems.

  • Understanding of the application of Rockwell Allen Bradley RSLogix 5, 500, and 5000 series Programmable Logic Controllers. Selection and configuration of I/O modules and I/O mapping.

  • Understand industrial network design and components.

  • Understanding the application of multiple protocols Ethernet TCP/IP, WAN, Modbus, Ethernet IP, and Field bus. Knowledge of industrial control panel design.

  • Creating construction design specifications, calculations for construction documentation.

  • Preparing control narratives and sequence of operations. Experience with AutoCAD.
