BrightStar Care is looking for dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team. This position best serves those looking for: * RN with previous experience in infusions, injections, assessments, wound care, etc. * RN who thrive in setting their own schedule or loves per diem work. * RN Looking to build connections with ongoing clients. * RN looking to work in the Portland Area or would like to travel throughout Oregon * RN looking for a variety of work and shift hours; ranging from 10 minutes to 8 hours * RN that is confident in their ability without training: IV/IG infusions, port/access, and long-term/non-healing wound care Perks Of This Position: You choose which clients you see and what your schedule looks like. We always offer our cases, but it's your choice whether it is added to your schedule The base rate is $42. However, each infusion or case will have its own benefits. Here are some examples of the possibilities: * $80 - $86 for the first two hours, then $40/hour for each hour afterward * Possible gas reimbursement at 49 cents/mile * Possible travel pay at $42/hour * Meal stipends * Paid hotel stay * $125 for injection visit *Please note: this position is more per diem. We extend out the client's care plan, location, pay, etc to our available nurses. If one of them accepts the client, they set their own appointments with the client and see them ongoing until they are discharged from services. Registered Nurses/Home Infusion Nurses Responsibilities: * Assessments: Wound Care, etc * Teach & Train: Insulin injections for clients, wound care, etc * Injections: Vitamins (such as B12), Antibiotics, etc * Wound Care * Infusions: IV/IG, Gammagard, Infectra, Remicade, Ilaris, Filgrastim, Prolastin, Etc The Infusion Nurse is responsible for providing home health clinical services. Ensuring that care is delivered appropriately, and the standards of quality are adhered to as well as the adequacy of services provided and may, where required, supervise staff. Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision Infusion Registered Nurse / RN Requirements: * Peripheral IV starts/maintenance * Port/access experience * IV Infusion Therapy * Long-term/non-healing wound care * Current unrestricted Registered Nurse / RN license in the state of Oregon, and good standing * Experience and confidence in starting and giving Infusions * CPR Certified * A minimum of one (1) year of documented health care experience is required (unless participating in an approved Mentor Program) * Licensed driver with insurance and a reliable automobile. * Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively. * Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information. * Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
