Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half has a client in the Service industry currently in need of a success-driven Full Charge Bookkeeper. In this Full Charge Bookkeeper position, you will regulate journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The Full Charge Bookkeeper may also manage clerical staff. If you are a self-driven and organized accounting professional who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision this could be the Bookkeeper role for you! This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Portland, Oregon area.

How you will make an impact

• Draw up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

• Capable in credit card management and reconciliation

• Form cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

• Produce monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

• Accounts Payable

• Catalog sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

• Work on special projects occasionally

• Conduct monthly accounting close

• Business license and gross receipts coverage

• Note budget transfers

• Arrange cash flow projections, as needed

• Familiar with Accounts Receivable

Requirements - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

• Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

• Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

• Strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

• Deep understanding of journal entries

• Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Full Cycle Payroll experience highly desired

• Well-founded grasp of Bonus Commision

• Proven knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll

• Account reconciliation experience preferred

• Quickbooks Online experience desired

  • Notable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

• Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well
