Amergis LPN/LVN Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) in Portland, Maine
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Long Term Acute Care LPN/LVN. The Long-Term Acute Care LPN/LVN provides the delivery of direct and indirect patient care to medically complex patients under the clinical supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Local pay rate: $45 per hour
Total Weekly Pay Package (36 hours) : $1955
-Weekly Taxable Income: $576
-Weekly Housing Allowance: $931
-Weekly Meals and Incidentals Allowance: $448
Total Weekly Pay Package (48 Hours): $2379
-Weekly Taxable Income: $1,000
-Weekly Housing Allowance: $931

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides delivery of direct and indirect patient care
Responsible for providing care to medically complex patients
Documents all activities related to the patient’s care according to the patient’s plan of care
Maintains confidentiality at all times with patients, medical staff and co-workers
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment
Experience in acute rehabilitation for vents, wound care, cardiac, stable post trauma patients
Adheres to and supports the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of the hospital in an attempt to provide quality patient care Revises plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care and nursing interventions
Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard
Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements
Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act; Joint Commission, state and local laws; and Patient’s Bill of Rights hospital policies.
Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Current nursing license for the state in which the nurse practices in
One (1) year nursing experience in a long term acute care facility preferred
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
