CSO STARTUP ADVISOR

  • The Startup Support Manager is responsible for the safe Startup of Plaquemines LNG in accordance with Company Approved Operating Procedures.

  • Acts as Deputy to The CSO Director Commissioning and Start-Up for all Plaquemines LNG Facilities that have achieved RFSU.

  • Leads and Directs daily Start-up activities of the IOT (Integrated Operating Team) and CONTRACTOR resources in all aspects of Start-up

  • Participates in regular progress and coordination meetings with COMPANY related to Start-up activities.

  • Manages the preparation, review and approval of all Startup procedures and issue to COMPANY for Final Approval.

  • Organize and coordinate the CONTRACTOR Operating Supervisory Team together with Company Operating Teams as necessary to keep operating plant online for the duration of the Commissioning and Startup until Achievement of the Substantial Completions milestone.

  • Provides overall focal point co-ordination for all the Project support services to maintain sustainable safe reliable operations of the Operating trains prior to and post-handover of CCC.

  • Liaises with the VG Operations Group to ensures that the Startup and Operations manpower requirements for the complex are met to satisfy production objectives.

  • Ensures that personnel and safety issues are given priority to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

  • Implements and enforces process safety management policy and procedures in respect of process safety information, hazard analysis, training, subcontractor compliance, plant integrity, work permits, emergency planning and response, incident investigation and compliance audits

  • Develop the Startup logic to ensure a smooth turnover of all the systems from Ready for Start-up (RFSU) to Substantial Completion (SC)

  • Will direct the development of the Start-up Schedule.

  • The Startup Support Manager will form part of the Incident Command team and coordinate emergency response scenario’s, drills and exercises

  • Attend regularly scheduled Meetings to ensure all pertinent information is exchanged between Commissioning and Operations

  • Approve SIMOPS work during Startup and Operations activities

  • Establishes and maintains effective operating shifts to ensure smooth running and efficient team operation. Ensures that shift changeover meetings are held at start/end of every shift between incoming/outgoing operation personnel to ensure production continuity and safety.

  • Closely monitors operating performance, initiating changes where necessary. Optimizes costs, chemicals, and consumables

  • Liaises with the COMPANY Operations Manager during the Start-up Phase.

  • Maintains close relationship with COMPANY operation department and achieves high level of team communication through routine meetings.

  • Reports to CONTRACTOR CSO Director.

  • Operate and monitor all equipment associated with LNG jetty operations, including loading arms, pumps, compressors, and safety systems.

  • Ensure the safe berthing, mooring, and departure of LNG carriers.

  • Coordinate loading and unloading operations, ensuring accurate measurement and transfer of LNG.

  • Perform routine checks and inspections of equipment to detect and address issues promptly.

  • Adhere to strict safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Monitor and maintain emergency response equipment and systems. Monitor and control all aspects of the LNG liquefaction process, including compressors, heat exchangers, refrigeration systems, and cryogenic equipment.

  • Ensure the safe and efficient cooling, pressurization, and liquefaction of natural gas.

  • Respond to process alarms and deviations, adjusting as necessary to maintain optimal operating conditions.

  • Follow strict safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with LNG liquefaction.

  • Water treatment plant experience understanding of chemical dosing, water sampling, testing.

  • They are responsible for any work permits issued in the Utilities Areas Ready for Operation.
