Position Description

The Healthcare Aid at Honor Community Health (HCH) is essential to our high-performing healthcare team. This non-exempt position reports to the Lead Medical Assistant, Practice Manager, or Director of Health Center Operations depending on the position location. The Healthcare Aid provides direct and indirect patient care while assisting clinicians in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered medical care.

We are currently accepting Part-time, On-call and Temporary candidates. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Clinical Office Tasks

  • Keeps the appropriate supplies stocked in exam rooms and lobby areas. Maintains patient confidentiality and strictly follows privacy regulations.

  • Places patients in examination rooms according to the established workflow protocol of the healthcare facility.

  • Cleans the exam room immediately after a patient visit, following the proper protocol.

  • Ensure that the exam room is set up properly for the next visit by following the correct procedure.

  • Follows the workflow of the medical office and assists in making patient visits efficient and timely.

  • Assist in clinical front desk coverage when needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.  During a public health emergency, the employee may be required to perform duties similar to but not limited to those in the job description. During clinic operation shortages and without advance notice, the employee may be relocated to a different HCH location.

  • Experience cleaning office space

  • Must have excellent communication skills. 

  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred
