Naval Air Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Point Mugu, California

Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Corporate Business and Analysis Group/Program & Business Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU. Responsibilities You will assist in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will perform limited studies or assists a higher-graded analyst with full scale studies. You will prepare preliminary budget estimates, financial reviews, etc. for a few relatively stable programs or program support activities. You will under the guidance of higher level analysts perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting and interpretive functions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To Qualify for the GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding budgetary, accounting, and/or financial administration, practices, procedures, regulations and policies; 2) Assisting in reviewing and evaluating budget requests; and 3) Assisting in performing control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. To Qualify for the GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying budgetary, accounting, and/or financial administration, practices, procedures, regulations and policies; 2) Reviewing and evaluating budget requests; 3) Performing control and reporting obligations and expenditures; and 4) Analyzing and recommending cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management.
